A federal decide on Monday sided with Amazon.com Inc. in dismissing a discrimination lawsuit that office organizer Christian Smalls had filed in opposition to his former employer.
U.S. District Choose Rachel Kovner rejected Smalls’ declare that Amazon had fired him as a result of he’s Black and had opposed discriminatory COVID-19 insurance policies.
Smalls’ allegation that Amazon subjected a largely non-white workforce to circumstances inferior to that of its principally white managers, by failing to offer crucial protecting gear, failed on the deserves as properly, Kovner stated.
