A twister hit close to Gilmore Metropolis in rural north-central Iowa as a powerful line of storms moved throughout the state in a single day, the Nationwide Climate Service confirmed Wednesday.
The twister was confirmed by a skilled spotter southwest of the small city of Gilmore Metropolis and tracked a number of miles to the northeast, climate service meteorologist Rod Donavon in Des Moines stated Wednesday.
