A person has filed a lawsuit in opposition to King County, Washington, and a number of other corrections officers, alleging they fractured his backbone once they knelt on his again and forcibly eliminated his clothes in jail.
Todd Jones, 53, filed the lawsuit in King County Superior Court docket final week, The Seattle Occasions reported. The lawsuit contends that whereas he was being held in King County Jail on April 21, 2019, he “suffered a number of acute fractures to his lumbar backbone.”
The lawsuit says officers held him on the bottom in a holding cell and “wrenched” his torso upward, in opposition to the course of the drive utilized to his again.
Noah Haglund, a jail spokesperson, declined to remark Monday on the claims, citing pending litigation.
